How to win your SCIENCE FAIR by creating a ROBOT DROID from Star Wars

I took a year to win the science fair, currently it's going to ISEF. What did I do? I made a star wars droid which is technically I told them it was a Curiosity Mars Rover but to me its a droid. You can too win the science fair if YOU DO NOT SKIM THIS PASSAGE.....

Now how to make a droid. The fanciest droid you can make is C-3PO, protocol droids. But that is not possible. So here are some ideas which are possible for your science fair and how to make, I will guide what to buy and how to make.

1) MRI

Another project I am working on is the MRI. You call it MRI and I will call it a MIND FLAYER from the Mandolorian. Wait you must be thinking, Arman that's great but uhm how to make sometehing that big and expensive. Think innovatively or JUST ASK CHAT GPT. Go there and type how to make a low mri with carboard gradient coils, RF coils and a ethernet cable and very cold magnets and arduino.

2) ELECTRON MICROSCOPE

Star Fans and Star Trek fans hate each other or I think, but I look both. You see that thing Scott is looking at. Its a far more advanced electron microscope.

It looks like a toy but there is another version of an electron microscope.

Think the impossible or else you wont win any science fairs. How to make a microscope, you have to always have a budget even for the above projects. It cost 100$ to make Curiosity. How to make electron microscope. You have to cheat a little. Its not complete cheating you will modify it. YOU HAVE TO BUY THESE DIGITAL MICROSCOPE you see in Temu. And then modify it with lens, lens cap. It is really detailed so I will tell you what ChatGPT told me.

1. DIY Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) – Conceptual or Low-Res Version

Some hobbyists have built rudimentary SEMs using:

  • Old CRT monitors or TV parts for electron guns

  • Vacuum chambers made from modified thermos bottles or steel plumbing

  • Electromagnets wound from copper wire

  • Raspberry Pi or Arduino for control

🔌 Caveat: These are not safe or practical for someone without experience in high-voltage electronics and vacuum systems. You’d need:

  • Access to very high voltages (10,000V+)

  • High vacuum (~10⁻⁵ Torr), which requires turbo or diffusion pumps

  • Serious safety knowledge

Recommendation: Not viable on a $100 budget or without lab-grade equipment.

But do not use ChatGPT unless you have an idea or else it will tell you terrible ideas

3) THEORY PRESENTATION

High School science fairs have theory presenations. In which you need to make a research paper about something and explain it with images on a poster board. I published a research paper in mathematics. And I will tell you how to write one. Suppose you like neurology.

READ someone else's paper like suppose sports medice, it says RETURN TO PLAY. You could make research in neurology of studying methods to RETURN TO LEARN.

4) ARDUINO PROJECTS

Arduino projects are pretty impressive AND really simple. You  could make a like a system for people with Parkinson's disease. That's how c3po was made and other droids
